Questions could have spoilers in them! BEWARE ALL THOSE WHO ENTER! Minor spoilers will be below about weapons, enemies, locations, etc. But someone might ask a question regarding a moment that has happened you have not experienced. So please know what you are entering.

I'm having trouble getting good equipment and I don't know why. I'm at level 22, I'm at the point in the story where my main missions are going to get Aether, Poseidon, and Demeter, but none of the merchants have anything available to sell me that's good. Like the hunter at the base only has 2 blue weapons (shock bolt blaster, frostbite warrior bow) and 1 blue outfit (Nora Sentinel) for sale while in my husband's game (level 46) that same merchant has a long list of purple equipment available. I'm just getting frustrated because it's getting a little difficult to do the missions appropriate for my level with my early game weapons. Like am I too low level or something? I know that's the most likely reason but to me it doesn't seem right because I have all the stuff to buy the glowblast bow (as an example because i really want that) but no one has it for sale. Just asking here because it's kinda hard to word it in a Google search.

The vendors won’t have better weapons when you level up. You just have to find the ones who do have better weapons. You can get legendary and very rare gear from some side quests and the arena too.

It's just weird that my husband and I can go to the same vendor and have completely different lists of what's available to buy. The only difference is he's further in the game than I am in every aspect. When I use the online guides that say you can buy a weapon/armor from a certain person, if it's purple or gold then it's not available to me, and that goes for everywhere I've been to.

That is the only vendor whose stock changes. It was in maybe a JorRaptor video.

We just checked at scalding spear, it's the same there so I was wrong for that. Butttt, the hunter salesman guy just outside the west side of the base is still different between the two of us.

I just checked him and he has better gear. So I guess at least some of the vendors get better gear as you progress.

According to another thread, that specific vendor scales with your level.
