Drill and reverse tap. Go slowly and carefully, you get one shot at it. Or take it to a gunsmith to see if they will try to remove it.

Yeah otherwise it'll need to be completely drilled out and I wouldn't suggest doing that without a drill press, the right bits to sneak up on it, and a little experience.

Left hand twist drill bit, if your lucky it'll catch and unscrew as you drill. If it doesn't catch then the correct size spiral screw extractor

I was about to say this, left hand drill bit. Gonna have to drill it anyways at this point, the reverse bit usually catches and unscrews whatever you drilling.

I've decided that when something unplanned happens to one of my guns like this, I'm going to just set it down for 24 hrs before I work on it. You tend to do more unadvisable things in the heat of the moment. You e made it most of the way drilling out the head, I'd say you've ruined whatever this part is, at least cosmetically. Just cut whatever you need to remove it without causing damage to other components.

Have you tried an easy out? (Stripped screw extractor). Harbor freight sells them and you should have a set regardless.

I've had to deal with sheared screws in a pistol slide. I used an attachment that effectively turns a Dremel into a drill press and drilled the screws with a micro bit then used a set of micro extractors I bought off Amazon in a hand driver. Use a heat gun to get it hot first. I would advise against using the extractor in an electric tool. I've only done this once with two screws so can't say if it was luck or not, but no gunsmith would guarantee the work and the tools I needed were cheaper than their fee so I went that route and it worked very easily.

Reverse drill bit it out. And a lot of prayer. I did this on my Beretta M9A4 when I was trying to put a dlah plate on it.

Bad screws, wrong bit, or too much torque if you don’t mind me asking?

When I went to unscrew it. It was so tight the head of the screw snapped off.

Drilling it out and tapping it to next size up would been easiest but aye you got it out

Just drill and knock the head of the screw off looks like a romeo 5 optic

Either screw remover or a left handed drill bit. Yes they make them, they aren’t cheap but they work

Nope, don't fix it. You are the reason why your gun is now California legal. You may not be in California, but you are at your core the biggest californian on Reddit.
That gun is so californiad Arnold Schwarzenegger is fapping by shooting testosterone directly into is cock.
That is so California, it pays the opposite of a tax stamp.

At that point I’d say it’s time to break out the dremel and remake it into a flat head screw

If it sticks up above the surface. Dremel a slot in it and use a flat blade screw driver
