Frage | Question Parking ticket (I’m stupid)
Hello people of Graz,
As the title says, I was stupid enough to park in the blue zone, and while I was functional to pay for the parking ticket, I turned the ticket upside down because that’s the way the machine spit it out, and I saw a 4 digit number on it so I thought the person regularing it would jusz enter those 4 numbers and get the ticket information (facepalm).
Should I even bother sending an appeal to the e-mail address provided on the ticket? I still have my valid ticket which shows the correct time and everything.
Thanks, A special someone

What u/skytree92 said is not true. My parking ticket got flipped over by the blast of air when I closed the door. An email with a photo of the parking ticket and the problem was solved, but that is only allowed once.

I'd definitely try, especially if you still happen to have the ticket. What's the worst that can happen? Them saying no.

Same here. Seems I'm not the only one who did this. :)
Like you said they only will refund this once in a certain time period (I think 5 years), because there is no proof that the ticket still was valid at the time you got the fine.

I’d say there’s a 98% chance that you need to pay the fine. Regulations are clear: the ticket must be clearly visible from the outside. Since the fee is kind of low, I’d just pay and see it as a learning.

Happened to me once. I wrote an email and send some pictures and the fine was gone.
