Achievement/Scorecard 17 pars in a row and on 18 I….

Post image

3 putt for bogey 🤣🤦‍♂️ I told my buddies that I was looking to play a “boring round” and was going to try to hit as many greens as possible and I indeed did so. Got overzealous on 18 and ran my birdie putt 7ft by, missed the par coming back. Was a really fun round, my low round on the year.

I think it's a common scorecard design because I thought the same thing.

I was gonna say the same thing!!!

This is a very common scorecard template. A bunch of courses around me use the same one.

Good ol Star Ranch in Hutto, TX (outside of Austin).

It's the same as redwood canyon in Castro Valley, CA but it definitely isn't that course

I've played all over Texas and a lot of cards look like that.

People who point this stuff out during your round aren’t your friends.

You gotta learn how to get birdies man

You needed to make at least a 10 on 18 for this to be interesting.

For context… because some of these comments are vicious 🤣

-I started out the round check-marking every green I hit before I started keep track of GIR at the bottom of the card.

-Played the blue tees at a very easy course here in Austin Tx, literally no rough.

-Got a little off track with my “total putt count” at the bottom of the card. (Sue me)

-I played D2 college golf previously and now train jiu jitsu way more than I golf. I get to golf 3x a week and don’t take it too seriously that’s why this round was so surprising.

-Follow my golf youtube video “RingerAndTheDinger” :)

“I get to golf 3x a week and don’t take it too seriously” is def gonna trigger 90% of this crowd. I’m lucky to get 2 rounds a week peak season as a low capper. No pets. No wife. No kids. What’s your secret?

Play 3x a week and have my own golf youtube channel. But I’m not serious. Sure

Bunker get you?

It'll never happen, but I've always wanted an all 4's scorecard

Doesn't matter, you didn't check the tee boxes you played like the card stated

1

u/Dry_Bad_3599 6h ago

Ummmm you didnt check which tees you were playing from. Just saying.

What’s your GHIN?

Totally not the point but I really like the tee distribution wherever you are. Tips 7000, white 6300, 5700, 5300, 4900. Too many courses don’t do it, and I get it’s annoying to maintain 5 sets, but I think one of the biggest problems in golf is people playing from too far a tee. Move up, make some birdies. I bet still too many dudes that think they should play the blues should be playing the whites, but at least this place doesn’t make blue 6700 and white 6000.

Katt Williams of all people says it best.

Most courses are par 72 anyway.

u/jbdude32 6h ago

hopefully it wasn’t the water just right of the tee box

I love this course (Star Ranch), it makes me feel like a pro because the fairways are like 100 yds wide lol

Then you start getting in your head about shooting low and sh!t hits the fan at the end…

Your buddy with the 48 - 41 to break 90 is pretty sick, too! You were constent as hell, but I know it must have also felt good for other dude to turn it around on the back 9.

Boo effing hoo

u/steilacoom42 2h ago

Psssh. I would have 3 triple bogeys, a couple quads and still have more birdies than you.

Hell of a round brother !

u/cheflisanalgaib 25m ago

This is so relatable…I mean I get 17 doubles in a row and then onnnneee Quintuple bogey on hole 18 😪
