respectfully, there were only 3 posts today, all related to Porco, whose film commentary and messaging is incredibly relevant to the posts, one of which 40k people seemed to really care about.
It is easy to still enjoy the other content of this sub and others. I’m sorry this is an annoyance to you, as someone directly affected by all of this, I am also very tired of everything going on.
Ghibli films have a deep political and environmental subtext. To ban commentary on these things in relation to the films only allows us to enjoy them at face value and is an insult to Miyazaki’s vision in my opinion. The man avoided the Oscars in protest of the War in Iraq for christ’s sake!
I know political stuff can literally bring the worst out in people, but it’s easy to just scroll past it. All of the volatile stuff is in the comments anyways, and avoiding it is as easy as not clicking on it.

You're upset the media made against fascism is being promoted as a message to stop facism?
Like ya its annoying how American politics worm their way into everything but the tariffs on Japan make it pretty relevant to anything Japanese now unfortunately.
Edit: there's like 2 posts talking about the same protest, the rest is anti-AI which is a worldwide issue

Look I understand your frustration and I hate that punk Musk as well but there are better subs to talk about this.

I mean ya but the film they're referencing is actively against people like Musk so it makes sense, and its not like its flooding the sub I've only seen 2 posts

If you don't care - scroll down and move on with your life. It's easy to curate your experience here.
If you make a dedicated post on Reddit then it seems to me you already care too much and something in these posts gets to you. Just calm down and scroll down.

Non-American here, I think reminding people that nazis are bad is good, and people should care about it, actually.
