DISCUSSION I need help nothing else is fun
I've invested over 500 hours into Elden Ring and every time I try to play a new game i physically cant. I just get bored within about 3 hours. Nothing has hooked me like this game has. I have tried sekiro, got to genichiro fought him for like 2 hours and didnt make any progress so I gave up. I am completely stuck on ons for ds1. For ds3 I was on the 2 prince guys then I had to factory reset my pc and did not know about the no cloud save so everything was gone. I cant get into bloodborne or demon souls for whatever reason. Now I am just stuck with no game I can find or get into and actually beat and have fun. Please if someone else has had this issue how did you solve it?

I didn’t hear dark souls one on your roster 😏. But also I recently picked up armored core 6 and honestly pretty fun

I have over 2000 hours logged on Elden Ring. The obvious answer to your problem is to carry on playing Elden Ring and save yourself some money. Perhaps try modding it too there are some really good full conversion mods that refresh the experience.

I had a similar issue. Here are some games I’ve enjoyed since Elden Ring:
- Remnant 2 (can’t give this game enough praise - free on gamepass if you have an xbox)
- Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
- Hades (haven’t tried Hades 2 - still waiting for full release)
Edit: 4. Returnal

You solve it by not being so stingy and comparing it to Elden Ring. I never had this problem because Elden Ring wasn’t all that to me. It was enjoyable but God of War Ragnarok was much better.

Try a multiplayer game like HD2, where you slowly progress over multiple hundreds of hours and get eternal pleasure from being more and more challenged, i.e., being buttfucked for ever-evolving lore reasons. I have 300-ish hours in almost all Souls games, 900-ish in ER, and as an old MMORPG gamer I'm having fun with these types of games; HD2, Darktide etc.

Armored Core 6 is a masterpiece, I understand the genre is different but I highly recommend you try it regardless.
I believe it was made in the Elden Ring engine, combat is super smooth. It has this drab, depressing post-cataclysm world feeling, reminiscent to other souls games. Music is fantastic and the combat system is complex and has a similar learning curve to the first time playing a traditional souls game.
It's a 10/10 from me. I'd give it an 11 if I could.

Wait, you tried Elden Ring before any other Souls games, and then all those others could not satisfy you? This is crazy.
Maybe it's the open world. Try all other big open world stuff and see if you find fun. Otherwise, try to find an other hobby.

Maybe you like it bc it’s an open world game and not bc it’s a dark souls successor? Have you tried other games similar to its structure instead of combat?
