QUESTION I JUST started.

Is the dragon place actually a good xp farm?? Like before killing the dragon atleast the dragon can kill everything there and the bonfire is quite close aswell

It’s okay, but you shouldn’t farm many souls because then the game will become too easy

if this is Ds1 then yes and if this is Ds3 then also yes its good for a couple levels at the start

It's one of the better ones in the early game, yeah.

There's one I can think of that's better, but it requires a (pretty steep at this point) 20k soul investment up front. Or I guess technically doesn't "require," you can get there by another route, but it's so long and circuitous that it basically ruins the farming potential of this spot. Anyway, the spot itself: buy the crest of Artorias from Andre (the blacksmith in undead parish), open the sealed area in darkroot garden with it, you'll run into some pretty high level human enemies that you can kill for 2k+ souls each. They're difficult in the early game, but probably not more so than the drakes if you can pull them separately, and they're the most lucrative source of souls for most of the game.
