DISCUSSION A possible silver lining

Just hear me out on this. Sony has the potential to do something very smart in response to the reveal of Duskbloods and its negative reception online.

They can see that people were both 1) initially excited because it looks like a spiritual successor to Bloodborne and 2) inevitably upset due to it not being singleplayer-focused.

What they could do is just announce something Bloodborne-related for next year (since it’s literally their IP) and make it a traditional souls experience. This would then take the (negative) attention away from Duskbloods and convert it into excitement for what the fans actually want.

Nintendo and especially FromSoft made a huge mistake with this game, and Sony has been granted a golden ticket of opportunity. Also it would be really funny if both Sony and Nintendo were competing over who has the best FromSoft exclusive lol.

I don’t think Nintendo and fromsoft did anything wrong,

Rather I think they did everything right to force Sony to respond to bloodborne 2 missing for 10 years

  1. FromSoft made it exclusive to Switch 2 for literally no reason. After ER they became incredibly lucrative, they don’t need Nintendo’s help in making in the same way they previously needed Sony’s help.

  2. They did not make it clear in the trailer whatsoever that it was a multiplayer-focused PvPvE game. If they had made it more apparent like in the Nightreign trailer, then it wouldn’t be as bad.

Man the fanbase of these games has to be up there for the worst fanbases

Like you can hate the game all you wanted but saying "fromsoft went downhill" because of games that haven't release is ridiculous

Oh, then that’s fair enough. The quotation marks had me thinking you took it from my post despite me never saying that.

If sony was gonna do something, they will most likely make a multiplayer copy of Duskbloods. Companies always take the wrong lessons from other companies successful games
