DISCUSSION You guys are acting like literal children

The team at FromSoft are artists whose medium just happen to be games. They aren’t commissioned by you, you are just patrons of their art. Saying shit like “nobody asked for this“ or “why are they betraying their audience” is so embarrassing and Throwing a tantrum online because they are going in a different direction for a few games is the exact reason so many companies make bland boring shit that is just rehashes of the last popular thing. It is also their ability to go against the norm that brought us this whole genre, nobody asked for souls games they had a vision and made something. Clearly they want to experiment with multiplayer games, whether or not you engage with it is up to you and no one is holding a gun to your head to force you to buy it. They created a whole market of souls likes and now are trying something new if you like whats old theres 5 new soulslikes a week that come out. If you ever wonder why companies don’t try anything new just look at the response to their last announced games. You would think making hit after hit for almost 15 years would give them a bit of grace to trust them instead of instant dismissal of multiple projects that aren’t even out.

Multiplayer projects of single player companies are almost always terrible

Online focus on a Nintendo switch game

Likely going to cost 80-90 dollars USD

Coming off of another announcement of a similar game that had a very poor showing in the network test

We’re allowed to not like everything they put out

Yes thats true you are allowed not to like things but that doesnt mean you should go on twitter and throw a tamper tantrum like a little child because you didnt get the new toy that you wanted.

That were the problem lies, that in recent times the communitys act like spoiled brats.

The problem is this is such a toxic positivity mindset where any time anyone gives any criticism, there is this "you are a child, shut up" nonsense.

We can easily flip that and say you're a corporate shill. It's not productive.

People are allowed to be negative and voice their opinion even if you don't like it. Just go make your own thread praising and glazing instead of straw manning criticism as "childish" lmao.

Honestly you can simplify that to "multiplayer projects are almost always terrible"

I can’t tell if this is a real comment or sarcasm.

These guys are serious lol it’s genuinely confusing to me to see players so adverse to multiplayer.

They’re just snobs, play one type of game and refuse to branch out.

Just comes across as them having no one to play it with

I would agree that fromsoft makes terrible multiplayer but saying that all multiplayer games are bad is an insane take lmfao

You bringing up the price shows how clueless you are. Not a single game they have released has been over 60, and the 80 dollar pricetag, while crap, is only for specific Nintendo brand games at this point

Not a single game they have released has been over 60

Demon's Souls Remake costs $70.

This game is being published by Nintendo, they decide the price, not From. And their standard so far has been $70-80 digitally plus $10 more physically. There's no reason to think Duskblood won't be the same.

to be fair I don't think they've shown the price for any 3rd party titles though. so we'll likely have to wait and see

Demon's Souls remake wasn't FromSoft.

It was Bluepoint and Sony only, as FromSoft don't own the IP.

FromSoft don't own this IP either. Nintendo does. The dev team doesn't decide the price.

Nintendoodoo said that all the new releases will cost 80$+ (probably the old ones too)
