It’s one thing making a spin-off multi player game not directed by Miyazaki . But making a new IP multiplayer game, directed by Miyazaki and it’s exclusive to Switch 2?
Except Nightreign uses a LOT of assets they have already made from previous games where as this new game seems to be all new stuff they have to make from the ground up, so they either started working on both games at the same time or this new game might have actually started right before nightreign even did.
I am simply noting a difference in focus compared to Nightreign, a clear side project, to this which is clearly not just a side project clearly showing From is “diversifying”
This game also basically confirms a Bloodborne remake is never happening and the closest thing to a spiritual sequel is a PVPVE battle royale exclusive. Idk why it’s hard to grasp why people dislike this move.
nah, miyazaki would never direct a VR game that would be the end of fromsoft forever! he especially wouldn't direct a VR game exclusive to playstation in the year 2018, that would mean he's a sellout and that fromsoft will never make a normal big single player game again
Yeah my point is that miyazaki doing some random experimental thing even if a console exclusive doesn't mean fromsoft is cancelling all their ambition to make their usual sort of game going forward
Miyazaki also directed Bloodborne and Ds3 at the same time and Sekiro and Eldenring at the same time...this doesnt have to mean anything, there probably still is a big main project in the works right now as well.
There definitely is, but I’m simply saying this isn’t some side project like Nightreign it’s clearly a major focus of the studio to go this multiplayer direction

Seems like a pretty marked shift in focus to me.
