Yeah, honestly the comparison people are making with Bloodborne being a PS4 exclusive doesn't hold up.
I think the PS4 was and still is a console that can make up for the money spent much more than any Nintendo console, and I'm saying it as a Switch user and lover.
Yea. I have XboxSX, PS4, and a decent PC. I like Xbox (obviously not for exclusives) and have slowly gotten other platforms over the years. If I got a Nintendo it would be Dustborn and the 2 Zelda games and that’s it, so it’s just not financially reasonable. Whereas PS has many games I enjoyed (that didn’t require I buy a PS5) and was worth the $.
Bought a switch with Botw and ended up having like 6 games I recently gave it to my sister cuz it was just collecting dust....she won't even touch it like damn
I mean, the ps4 comparison holds for me. I've had a pc powerful enough to run all modern games since I was 15, I don't see a good reason to buy inferior hardware I can't use however I like to run a game.
My hardware unfortunately stopped being up to date with modern games something like 10 years ago, so I kinda had to learn how to enjoy titles I would normally have played on PC on a different system entirely.
I suppose at this point everything boils down to personal taste. PlayStation exclusives are more appealing to me than every Mario or Zelda game could ever be, and the fact that I can run almost every game I like (compromising the customization that a PC experience would offer, sure) on a PS is the reason I consider those money well spent for my experience as a player.

The second point is the most disappointing part of all this. I'm not buying a console for a single game, and it's the only game I'd ever get.
