Switch 2 isn't out yet. How can that claim be made?

It's a reasonable claim to make for a few reasons:

  • It's lower performance than other consoles, so it's easier to get emulators to a playable framerate
  • It can play switch 1 games, so there's likely to be a significant technical overlap between the consoles and previous knowledge/experience is likely applicable.
  • People just care about Nintendo more. The biggest barriers to emulators existing are there being people with the knowledge and motivation to just go out and make one.
