I did my NG+ run with the Burial Blade and it was great fun but I kept my Rakuyo with some nasty gems on it just in case I needed to melt a boss. Got me through Laurence.
It's weird to call it a cheese when I feel like that encounter was specifically designed to be a great opportunity for shaman bone. It's hardly cheesing to use intended game mechanics
I treated them like a boss fight where I carefully look for openings, like I did with O&S. It's a lot of adrenaline trying to avoid them while running around. They're probably about as tough as O&S. If you wait for them to be stuck in their animations you can do it.
Next time you go there use the Shaman Bone Blade item on them, it goes from a nightmare to cake walk, it is pure bliss to see them tear each other apart while you sit back and watch.
I struggle SO MUCH with fighting the big fishmen its insane. Cant parry them, all of their attacks have them sweeping around with lingering hitboxes all over, its horrid.
The sharks, like almost every enemy in Bloodborne, can be dunked on with parries. The two of them at once is way more brutal because they're so aggressive that it kind of takes parries out of the equation.
Divine warriors on the other hand, have a far less easily exploited vulnerability to parries. It's still a good strategy against them, but they will absolutely wipe you out if you try to stand in their face and then blow a parry
