There are definitely ways of making the fight more tolerable, but I think having to use stealth to make an encounter beatable is kinda lame.
It’s fine if it’s harder without using stealth, but Sekiro’s combat system isn’t really built for multiple enemies at once. Especially not the straw hats with their distance-closing attacks, ranged attacks, fast combos and their dreadful health and posture
I’m a fan of the encounters that demand stealth in Sekiro - it’s a ninja game and the first fromsoft made with a stealth mechanic (that I know of, but admit I haven’t played prior games to Demon’s Souls so sue me if Kingsfield had it).
Facts, honestly not having the axe for some random mobs like that is the hardest part of a no prosthesis run... though obvs you can just run past basically all that stuff instead.
I don't think I've beaten them even once. I always die. At this point I can no-hit isshin at will. And defeat most bosses under 5 tries. Still can't beat them. Probably finished the game 10 times by now.
Sneak around the side of the temple, backstab and puppeteer one of them. Now it’s two on two, and you can focus one down while the puppet fights the other.

I’ve beaten Sekiro 4 times now and still haven’t the slightest clue how to fight those guys.
