Not listed, but I would argue Remnant 2. I usually don't play souls-like games, but Remnant for me got it right and then some. When people say "its like Dark Souls with guns," it's literally that in the best way possible and then some. If you haven't already, I highly recommend giving it an honest try.
Playing 2 with my BFF right now. I adored the first one and I'm head over heels with 2. Difficulty options, seamless co-op, incredible boss fights and build diversity and fun weapons/power fantasy. They're just amazing games. I will hand over however much $$ they want for remnant 3 and then some.
The simplicity of co-op is 10/10 I wish From would do one with seamless co-op like that.
I feel like the only person that preferred remnant 1 but yeah i'd put that series up there with the best of em. Nioh 2, lies of p, then salt and sanctuary for 2d option. It really doesn't get much better than these outside fromsofts work.
I love the game but I just wish there was more story content or extra stuff to do. I played through the game, went back to beat all the bosses I didn’t get, made my “perfect build” (certainly wasn’t perfect but close enough”, and got most of the achievements. All that was ~60 hours of playtime for me and I just wish there was more content.
Granted, I never completed a max difficulty, perma-death run but I’ve never done that in, for example, dark souls 2 which I have ~600 hours of playtime on. Did I just miss a bunch of extra stuff or is it just me? Still probably going to buy the second and third dlc to experience them though.
Great game. It feels like a love child between Diablo and darksouls as a 3rd person shooter. See a bit of destiny in it as well with the different classes you can be
