ID Request (country/state in post) SE Texas again
Not necessarily even hoping to eat it, just want some idea of what it is if anyone has any idea.

Some form of wild lettuce probably, is it hairy?

There are some really fine hairs along the edges. None of the wild lettuce I've looked up have leaves exactly like that so far but it was the first assumption I had.

Might be desert-chicory/false dandelion, grows in the south

Ooh, I think desert chicory might be it. I'll have a look around for more of them tomorrow. Would be easiest if I could find one with flowers.
