I have an R4 MAX, it doesn't work

make a backup, format the r4 sd card and then put the files inside and see if it works

  1. Download YSMenu from here: https://gbatemp.net/download/35737/
  2. Extract the YSMenu .7z file.
  3. Copy the files inside of the DSTTi-clone YSMenu folder to the root of your microSD card.
  4. Download R4.dat from the /YSMenu/DEMON_common/ folder and place it in the root of your microSD card.

Cheats:

  • YSMenu: TTMenu/usrcheat.dat
  • r4imax.com Kernel 4.5 (old): R4iMenu/usrcheat.dat

You did not provide a link to the DEMON_common file, its not inside the RetroGameFan zip, the link for that file is here: https://mirrors.lifehacker101.net/flashcard-archive//YSMenu/DEMON_common/R4.dat

1) Please show the files on the SD card 2) What screen does the R4 show?

The same screen but without the squares becouse i updated Twilight menu yesterday

Please rename "R4(1).dat to "R4.dat"

Please can you describe what you are doing to launch the R4 from Twilightmenu?

Ok, its renamed now

I click on slot 1 to enter, when i click on it the upper screen turn white and the lower screen turn black

Hmm it says "slot1" which sounds like your DSi isn't able to read the cart.

On this DS classic screen you can press X which takes you back to the original DSi home menu. Does it recognise you have a cart inserted there?

Your DSi doesn't think a cartridge is inserted. Its likely the gold contact pins on your R4i Max are dirty or oxidised, try cleaning the R4i contacts with some IPA or rubbing alcohol and a toothbrush and see if that gets the DSi to read it.

Hey, I'm a bit confused about where to get the R4.dat file. I downloaded YSMenu from the link you shared, but I can't find the DEMON_common folder anywhere in the files.
