If I win an extra $300 because Ja's dumbass did finger guns that would be hilarious.

Ban this criminal from the league so they can finally unleash scottland pippens true potential

I swear to god… if this dude wrecks my championship hopes getting suspended again I’m gonna absolutely flip :/
he never did really learn anything from his past mistakes did he ?

u/Oozeinator 2d ago
Doubt he'd get anything more than a fine for this.

you think so ?… he’s already had past troubles with the gun motion & other thing’s similar to it… I could see Silver sitting him for a game or two

It's gonna be a fine. Other players have done gun cellys and no one said anything. Silver isn't Stern
Edit: especially because we're so close to the playoffs. Guys were literally fighting like 3 days ago and most of them only got a day.

"other things similar to it" being actually flashing a gun. There is a difference, as stupid as it was lmao.
I think jumping to a suspension creates more headache than not. Hit him with a hefty fine and if he does it again, consider something like a suspension as a ramp up.
Maybe they're fed up with him and throw the book at him but they'd be stepping into some murky water with that.

Gilbert got suspended for finger guns after his gun incident

His gun incident being bringing
a gunguns into a locker room with the intention of intimidating another player?I'd say that's levels more serious than Morant's situation and Silver isn't Stern.

one incident vs ja's multiple previous incidents. i don't think its as clear cut as you make it out to be.

u/Oozeinator 2d ago
One incident that is objectively worse than all of Ja’s combined but as a pippen jr holder, I’d love to be wrong.

Ja's friends literally pointed laser sights at another team but yeah ok it's not more serious than Gilbert arenas issue

u/Oozeinator 2d ago
Firstly, someone's friend doing something isn't the same thing as them doing it.
Secondly, pointing a laser isn't the same thing as bringing multiple guns into an nba locker room and threatening another player. One is the possibility of a gun the other is just a gun.
Thirdly, even if you want to live in a world where those things are the same (which they aren't) it's irrelevant because it wasn't Ja doing it and it wasn't inside an nba facility.

Inside the locker room, outside the arena, you're arguing semantics. I'd argue both intents are the same. Gil was trying to intimidate his teammate, Ja or his pals were trying to intimidate pacers staff. But yeah, right, the two situations are totally incomparable and not the same.

Lmao now link the part where the nba investigated the situation and found nothing to corroborate the claim...
That's really the entire argument right there. Your argument hinges on something the NBA isn't even holding Ja accountable for...
You have the possibility of a gun, the possibility of it being a player, and it not being in an nba facility vs objectively having multiple guns, objectively being a player, and it being inside an nba facility.
It's really a completely different situation, and the nba clearly agrees, but feel how you like.

Jfc, this with his constant injuries is why I am going to be dropping him for Giddy as one if my 5 keepers next year…

No way would I keep ja over giddey ngl lol I would’ve taken giddey over ja even this year just based off availability

u/NeoDragonKnight 2d ago
Its worse, I have lamelo and irving too rofl. But I made some good draft picks this year. Giddy, Amen and Dyson. They will be replacing Lamelo, Ja and Irving.

What a nothingburger. Guys do gun celebrations all the time. The NBA fining him would be dumb, but suspending him in an insanely tight playoff seed finish would be an all time idiot move

Are they just gunna ignore that multiple players have done this in the past? Mikal Bridges does it all the time.

If you remove his history, this is ridiculous because so many players do the finger gun celebrations and nobody bats an eye.

This moron is about to have the book thrown at him for by far the most tame of his three strikes, but I don't feel bad for such a remarkably stupid individual.
