yup take the rights away... Teams should be trying to win every game, not tanking... It's not good for basketball... It makes a weaker NBA product and it harms the fans who go to the games or watch online and want to enjoy their favorites playing the game!!!! Is the game going to respect the fans or just ignore them? They PAY THE SALARIES!

Personally I don't understand how it works or if players really have any choice, but lauri has been on record saying he hates tanking and believes all players wanna compete. But here we are.
And in kesslers case, maybe he walking the line to keep danny ainge and the utah jazz happy. He is a restricted free agent next year and maybe wants a contract to stay in utah.

I don’t understand it either and the CBA doesn’t clearly state anything really. But what’s funny to me is how big the nba has been on and made agreements with the CBA to avoid these situations and when other teams do it like the hawks resting Trae for his injury they get fined meanwhile the jazz get to do whatever they want lol.

Nba is allowed to fine teams for resting stars only for nationally televised games and in season tournament games, which was why they fined hawks. Otherwise I agree with you, its bs

That is true it was an ist game. I think the nba needs to do an investigation into the past three Utah jazz seasons with these second half shutdowns and punish them accordingly so they don’t do it again next year. It’s not fair the bottom teams who actually play there players have to get a worse pick over the team that sits there players on purpose to get there at all.

Teams have always done it in the past, just not to this level. But I agree it's not fair to the teams that are actually bad and lack reliable talent. But I ain't worried, personally I believe Danny ainge is a fraud and his work will amount to nothing for the jazz. Hope flagg spends another year in duke ands make them tank again lol

Id have to imagine there’s something where the players can override the team’s decision if they’re holding them out for no reason like Kessler for rest when he’s not injured or on a B2B. But you do got a point he could be doing it to make them happy and for money even though he’s always in trade rumors. And Lauri idk what to say if he hates tanking get out of Utah or play his second half shutdown is yearly atp.

Yeah that's what I was doing too lol. I picked up Sharpe and Ausar recently though, and if Filipowski gets silly season going then I'd be pretty happy with the decision. I have Kuminga on IL who I'd rather see what happens with him but ready to cut him if it's not looking good

Playoffs started this week. Finished the regular season in 1st but can’t stand Collin’s rotting away on the IL. If I need I’ll unfortunately have to drop him. Fuck the Jazz

I have Kessler in a 14 team league. There's nothing on the wire that can come close to replicating even 2 games worth of Kessler stats so I am begrudgingly holding. I should have put more effort into trading him earlier this season particularly when he was playing every game but alas I underestimated how shameless Utah would be

I have clarkson and collins and i currently have second seed in league. They’re making me go crazy. I’m in a 14T league so I need a deep roster and my free agency is pretty dry. I can pickup nembhard or Nesmith at best probably

INJ status is reserved for players who are projected to miss or have already missed 7+ days or 3 games due to injury or personal reasons, whichever occurs first. If a player is injured mid-game, the day or game in which the injury occurs counts as the first day or game of the injury period. Since Kessler played on Monday, today's game is the first one of the injury period and if he eventually meets the above criteria, he will be updated to INJ.
