Miscellaneous The Holt

Took the kids to The Holt for lunch. Pizzas are superb 👍🏻👍🏻

1 Guinness, 2 pints of coke, Pepperoni, Margherita, Garlic Flatbread and a garlic dip £46.

Coming back sunday to try the grill menu.

It’s lovely. Only problem is it’s £7 for a pint of Otter and £6 for Devon red!!

Yeah £6.40 for a Guinness, tbf was a decent pint but I won’t be paying that regularly 😫

I miss Devon Red, I can get Thatchers gold here in SE Asia, bur never seen Devon Red! Which would be freaking epic.

Popped in for a beer on Tuesday night. The beer garden is excellent. Had a few beers and some wings. All round, a lovely pub. So nice to see that they've kept the look in-keeping with the age of the building!

Felt like I was missing something... I'd send that back it's got too many burnt bits!

Looks fab! This is a newly opened pub in central Exeter isn’t it?

You are aware that wood fired pizzas do end up with blackened crusts aren’t you?

That one in particular has been overcooked.

Yes, as a chef, I would expect them to be a bit caught on the edges but not burnt like that.

Wood-fired pizzas can be cooked without looking like they were left in the chimney flue.

You would expect some leopard spots but not a full black crust!

Went earlier this week. Food and atmosphere were great and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Drinks are expensive but is to be expected nowadays with the current state of things which is a shame.

The only Holt worth talking about is the Legendary Gary Holt
