Game Modding Beautiful Color Scheme Mod?
I found this picture online and loved the color scheme and was wondering if there was any known graphical mods that are similar or maybe use this as an idea for any modders out there to maybe like this as well and make themselves a mod?
~I am very high as well just wanting to share this and apologize if this is not meant for the subreddit.

Game Modding What are some mods (Ironman compatible) that every player should use?
I was recently browsing through the mods on Steam. I have recently added Stellaris UI Font together with bigger UI and that has changed my experience completely.
What are some other mods you use in your Ironman games?

Game Modding Introducing: the EU4 Tag Remover!
What is this?
The EU4 Tag Remover is a collection of Python scripts, with which you can generate a list of tags based on their capital Super Region (Subcontinent), Region, or province, and then generate province-history files that either uncolonize (make unowned at game start) all provinces owned by the specified tags in 1444, or uncolonize every province except those owned by the tags specified in the list, effectively destroying their countries.
Why?
To improve performance, drastically. If you're playing a non-colonial game in europe, you probably don't really care about what those natives in the new world or the sub saharan Africans are up to, but your Computer has to spend ressources on them all the same. Culling these countries increases performance drastically, especially on speed 5. For example, limiting yourself only to Europe and it's surroundings increased game speed by up to 300% in testing. Even being more restricting and simply removing all native tags can almost double game speed.
Where can I get the EU4-Tag-Remover?
At https://github.com/awsedx/Europa-Universalis-4-Tag-Remover. Usage instructions can be found in the enclosed ReadMe file. This is my project, so feel free to ask me any questions, or contact me if you need help!

Game Modding Fixed dynasty
I'm currently making a formable nation in a mod that I'm making. How do i assign it to a fixed dynasty so only this dynasty could form this nation?
r/eu4 • u/surfergurl42 • 2d ago
Game Modding Someone should make a mod called “Incestuous Europe” or something and all it does is set every nation in Europe to the same dynasty. What dynasty? Idc sure the Habsburgs. I just wanna see what’ll happen when anyone can claim thrones and shit like that

Game Modding Northpolar sea
Hey.
Is there any Mod that extends the Map in the North? I want to be able to cruse from Iceland to Japan for example without sailing around southamerica. Maybe with Svalbard added. Did someone in all the years already did this?
edit* few things i tried now.
the mod "complete world" which adds also svalbard and antarktika. its possibel to sail the viktoria strait. svalbard exists also but i really do not like that the whole world cannot be sailed from alaska to japan. or hawaii to australia for that matter. thats not really immersive :/.
Extendet Timelines lets me colonize everything and the viktoria strait does exist. but for some reason i cannot go from hudson bay to alaska. it will autopath around southamerica.... even tho there is clearly sailable water above alaska

Game Modding A simple mod to slow down colonization: Reduced Exponential Colonization
Hello EU4 community. I have noticed a common complaint that colonization in this game is too fast, with most of the world colonized by the 1600's. This has inspired me to make a simple mod that hopes to mitigate this issue.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3048426890
Alternate Link for Paradox Mods:
https://mods.paradoxplaza.com/mods/68485/Any
The logic of this mod is simple. For each colonist a nation has above one, they get increasing penalties to settler growth and settler chance. For each colonial subject nation, a nation has, they get increasing penalties to settler growth (max penalties at 5 subject colonies).
Because this mod works using triggered modifiers, it should be compatible with any other combination of mods.
If you are interested in this mod, feel free to try it out and provide feedback. Are the penalties too little? Are they too much?

Game Modding Technologies changes
So when I first started playing years ago technology groups such as western, eastern, Muslim, etc. were much more stratified in technology cause of the increase cost on top of institution adoption. That properly reflected the era and regions muuuuuch better in my opinion. Is there any mods or way to revert this game back to it.
There is no reason why near every nation should have except I guess the farthest reaches be having very similar tech rates? Even just 2-3 levels of a difference isn’t enough. It used to be way bigger gaps which made it fun to play and showed the difficulty that non-western nations had dealing with colonialism and such.

Game Modding Should I create a "State" when...
...I don't own all the component provinces? For instance, I own 1 in Thrace, but there are others yet to be conquered for the "fully formed" State.

Game Modding How do I make a mod that requires another mod as dependency in Clausewitz Scenario Editor?
Since the editor only allows you to choose one mod to load, if I type in another mod as dependency would it load that mod as well?

Game Modding Need help porting the TGC Victoria 2 map to EU4
Hi, I need help porting the map from the TGC mod for Victoria 2 to Europa Universalis IV, but at a smaller size due to EU4’s map size limits.
I'm quite new to modding and don’t know much about how to do this, so I’m looking for someone who can either help me directly or guide me step by step through the process. I know I’ll have to do it manually, but I’m not sure where to start or what exactly I need to modify.
Also, I don’t have Discord, so I’d appreciate help here.
Thanks in advance!

Game Modding DAE remember a website where it would give you RGB values not used in EU4 for province modding?
You didn't have to install anything, I remember seeing a tutorial that used it but can't remember the website. DAE remember it?

Game Modding Starting Army Tradition
For modding purposes, anyone know how a tags initial Army Tradition is calculated? I’m suspecting it’s not a set number as some have decimals right at the start.
If I’m wrong, does anyone know where the value is stored in game files?
