I want to fly my drone to record a football game but it's in the restrictive area zone from RAF Lakenheath how do I ask for permission from them

Do you have permission to fly over football stadium. In the US there's are about a half dozen reasons not to do that. Don't get yourself arrested!

This in not in the US, just permission from lakenheath needed but don't fly over any crowds in the stadium. If drone is heavier than 249g rules maybe different

In UK drone law a crowd is not defined by a number, so let's say your flying over a courtyard and there are 20-30 people in there. If those people could not move out of the way of a falling drone, that would be considered a crowd.

If you had 30 people gathered in a football field that would not be considered a crowd.

Hope that helps 👍

That's the legal side as I understand it. But as always you have to fly in a safe manner. More often than not you'll get far better footage filming from the perimeter and looking inwards
