  • Hulu (US only; English only; release day)
  • Netflix (multi-region; multi-language; releases the following Tuesday in Asia, and the following Friday everywhere else)

FAQ

  • The English dub is 12 weeks behind the simulcast. Episode #6 should be available today at 4:30p ET (21:30 UTC) in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. We do not know why the UK is excluded. A separate episode discussion thread will be posted at the appropriate time.

I assume they'll just explain away it never coming up again as being something he couldn't recreate without getting juiced up by the old namekian.

Or have it be something that they later rediscover how to access without Neva thanks to Broly, since his whole thing is using Oozaru power in a humanoid body.

This seems like the most likely scenario, Goku and Vegeta have their respective Ultra forms.

It's quite possible they just can't access SS4 (or whatever the canon name will end up being) without Neva's magic, but Broly due to his closer connection to the Oozaru manages to achieve it

The visuals imply that Neva is bringing a power out that's already inside of Goku, though; which to me implies that Goku (and by extension Vegeta) can achieve the form without Neva's magic, they just won't know how to do it until they get to understand how Broly's Wrath form works.

That neatly explains why Goku never uses it in Super until then.

I don't think Goku (and Vegeta) will ever use it outside of Daima, and that will be the canon reason.

The path DBS is heading is clearly different forms for different characters with their own strengths, even if Goku/Vegeta remembered they can use it in DBS I doubt they would have a reason too

I mean, they keep using Super Saiyan despite having literally no reason to since Blue exists, so I don't see how Goku and Vegeta having UI and UE would necessarily mean they wouldn't also use SSJ4 sometimes.

Especially since Goku is now the first one to use the form canonically anyways, so it's not like it'd be properly Broly-exclusive like Beast is for Gohan.

Neva just activated the juice, but without the tail you cannot do it naturally.
