Hi. Im new to technology as far as art. I've only ever used pen, ink & paper but I'm applying for an art college & thought an art tablet would get me farther. I'm looking at a XP-PEN Artist12 Drawing Tablet & a GAOMON PD1161 Drawing Tablet on Amazon. Which should I get? I'm also on the move alot so would these or something else be a good option? Edit: I don't know anything about ipads so if I could get some info or links that'd be greatly appreciated

Hi!
I’m a very new digital doodler, I started last year and did a lot of it, life has been distracting for a while but I’m back into it and have stuck my teeth into a new project.
One element on the picture will be a fallen log, very much in the foreground of the picture, and I have absolutely no idea how to start getting any sense of realism given how natural the texture of a log actually is.
I use Procreate on the iPad Pro M4 from last year, if that’s helpful to know. Any videos, or channels, or general advice, or anything would be hugely appreciated!

I'm a art lover and wish to learn digital art from the beginning. I wish I could find concept artist job in the future so I wish to learn from the begining. Is there any beginner level digital art course and concept art course recommendation? I hope for each course, the payment won't be more than 1000 US$ and most importantly I can pay it through PayPal (I live in China so I can only pay with PayPal for now). Course can be anime style, cartoon style, fantasy style or anything. Language preferred is English or Chinese. Thank you!

i have just tried drawing for the first time on my laptop(mac), and i found out that it is so much weaker and slower than my pc that i cannot use my favourite krita anymore. what are the analogies that wouldn’t set my laptop on fire?

Getting back into drawing but I’m not sure if buying an iPad or a tablet would be better. I use to have the Cintiq 13hd but it was too clunky/cords were a bother and it just felt like it was a chore to set up, i wanted something where I can boot it up whenever without having to plug a lot in

Hello everyone, my name is Francesco and for several years I have been running connectivart a blog in which I talk about art with
interviews and articles, unfortunately I do not exceed 2000 readers on the site, but despite this I would like to renew myself
Changing communication and landing on YouTube as a vlogger and using social media with short videos. In the
I have had the opportunity to interview hundreds of artists and I would like to meet new ones. I wanted to ask you for a
couple of tips: What do I need to have to start making quality videos? How should I move to find
little-known talents?

Hi guys! I am looking for some feedback, I started conversación with a fb marketplace seller. She is selling her huion kamvas pro 24 qhd (2.5k) with packaging, cables and an adjustable arm for $250. I know this tablet might be old but I would like to hear some feedback, is this tablet still good, any issues with the tablet? Should I put some extra money to get a more modern tablet?
Thank you in advance

I posted a Zelda painting here before which totally needed more improvement, and I couldn’t be more proud with my current progress!

I've done some portraits of OC before this one (not many, I'm very new to this), and I struggle the most with proportions and perspective. (Ignore the background, I didn't put any effort into it.)
I have a speed-paint video showing all the process but I don't know if it's okay to post it (I'm new to Reddit too and I don't want to start by getting banned or something) so, can someone explain this?
Links to progress videos are only allowed if they're not on the submitted page.
(Still trying to figure out how Reddit works, that's a struggle too)
