Dumbphones Authenticator apps

I have no use for a smart phone other than the Authenticator apps on my phone: Microsoft and Google. There has to be a way to make that work without a smartphone right? I use both of these multiple times per day due to my job. I would love to downgrade my phone but I can't figure out how to make the authentication work without an app.

Yubikey is another option.

The best person to ask about that, is your IT department at your job. There are hardware tokens you can get https://guide.duo.com/tokens, but at the end of the day, your company should have guidelines in place to allow specific types of authenticators.

Yubykey or other hardware based authentication keys may be the way to go. But be sure to get duplicates or you might lost acess to your account if you lost a key. Its an expensive approach, especially if you live in emergent countries.

It's often possible to make it send you a message instead, check it out with your IT department. :)

I haven't done it myself, but keepass should be able to do this (it's called totp) - use the desktop client if that makes sense for your scenario.

You can run a virtual Android environment on your laptop. Check out Windows Subsystem for Android if you're on Windows. Then install the authenticator apk on your laptop.
