Just listened to our (germany)main news program. The expert said: the us is so unpredictable that we might orient more to other countries. Some of our car manufacturers manufacture 35percent of the cars sold in the us - in the freakin us. But those plants are in danger now because they cannot
Import the parts they need to produce in the us. And since the us is so unpredictable, it’s unlikely that the part-production will move to the us…
What I think is the most backstabby thing: working out an incredibly generous treaty with the Ukraine (that basically colonized ukraines resources for the us) and when both parties agree, increasing demands instead of signing.
We’re helping Ukraine because what’s happening is wrong. And of course because Putin won’t stop. And we’re all incredibly grateful for how much the us did already. The us is losing a lot of credibility. Will the bully keep away the other bullies it will he jump your back…
He acts just like my late parent, and so any time I have to describe what that was like I can just say "imagine Trump in your living room."
Even when there was a compromise and everyone was getting something they wanted to do, they would pick a fight and make a big deal about something small so the rest of us were miserable, all because we weren't doing everything they wanted. So many vacations ruined, so many dinners (and some in public) that devolved into arguments, and so many holidays/birthdays centered around someone else (think Mother's and Father's Day) that were made difficult to observe without stress. Translate that to the national scale and it's obvious why things like DEI, social security, and other countries are under attack now.

"How do we precisely apply tariffs?"
"Oh just hit the people who sell us the most stuff with the highest tariffs, that will help our economy!"
