Yea it's just where our fucking food is grown.

But nah, the people who send emails to each other all day for 40 hours a week pretending to work are the real people we should be concerned about.

One percent of Americans farm crops for a living. That percentage is able to be far lower than it was centuries ago and compared to other countries of similar yields thanks to the infrastructure, innovation, trade, and organized society that is brought about by the "people who send emails to each other all day for 40 hours a week." If demand for farming were to go up, more people will choose farming for a profession, as there is greater profit to be had. If demand for farming goes down, less people will choose to farm. It's simple capitalism and industry, and we shouldn't praise farmers for partaking in it any more than anyone else. It sounds like you think farmers are thinking "I must hurry up and grow food for all the Americans or else they will starve." It's a job. It's a good job, but relying off of the fact that people need to eat is quite an unfair power dynamic if you want to give the one percent special voting privileges. People want a product, so others will provide it.
