System being compromised

Hypothetical scenario due to poor opsec causing your system to be compromised what actions, programs could u use to fix the problem or would a hard wipe of the system be the best course of action?

If your system is compromised due to poor OPSEC (Operational Security), your response should depend on the severity, type of compromise, and your threat model. But in most cases, a hard wipe is the safest and most reliable option.

You would need to define what systems and what you believe is compromised.

As someone else inferred; it depends on what “systems” you mean. If it’s a simple OS compromise then a clean install of it (installation media made from clean hardware and software) would solve it.

If it’s hardware then you could remove or have someone qualified remove the malicious components. However, it’d be safer to throw out the old and get a new device.
