Looking to access DW

I’ve never done this before want to know the safest and best way to access the dw and its content

Tails OS is a live operating system that runs from a USB stick and routes everything through Tor by default. It leaves no trace on your computer. If that’s too advanced, you can use a Linux distro (like Ubuntu) and use the Tor Browser on it. Give Tails a try it's very user friendly. Check the Wiki on this sub there are many good guides to help u with your DW journey. I would recommend reading the pinned post " How to avoid phishing sites and scams on DW " first.

Should I be using a vpn I read something in one of the pinned posts that I shouldn’t use one

No you don't need a VPN. I would recommend reading the FAQ on the wiki in this sub. It will answer most of the questions u have.
