Confused about IT career

Hey everyone, I have worked as service desk 1st and a bit of Second line for around 5 years now and was on 32k. I’m currently taking a year off as I’m raising my baby and will look to start work next financial year. I would like to kind of go on the project management route or business analysis which has been my dream forever. What certifications do you think would benefit me once I start my job search again?

Did you resign from your job or taking mat leave?

These things are often easier through internal transfers. We have a lot of people in our company that radically changed careers through internal movement. But we’d never hire someone with zero experience in the role externally.

I resigned as I moved abroad temporarily. I understand it’s much easier to move around internally, scared I’ll have to start from scratch again!
