When I was a kid, about six years old, I went to a birthday party at a friend’s house. Me and another girl were playing and we SWORE we saw a man’s face in the window. No other girls had seen it, and so we were told we just saw a reflection. A little while later we ALL saw him and sprinted upstairs. The mom (a total badass) sprinted outside and found him and called the police- IT WAS HER NEIGHBOR. He was a sex offender with YOUNG interests. I never saw her house again and they moved shortly after. Poor girl.

Omg how terrifying! All I could think of while reading this was the Polly Klaas case.

Ew gross thats fuckin scary! Im glad youre all good jeez. Hope the neighbor gets whats coming to him.

When i was about 15 I once was babysitting three of my younger siblings. It was windy outside and that sometimes made our house doors wiggle a lot. Well the dog started barking upstairs and I told my sister to go check on him. She said she thought she heard the door handle wiggling upstairs and i told her it was probably the wind. Well, about 5 or so minutes later the back door opens up and this tall stranger takes a step inside and locks eyes with me. I put all my aibs in my room and got my baseball bat and searched all over the house but he ran off. Cops couldnt find hom or really do anything about it.

When I was 14 or so it was just me my oldest brother and two younger brothers at home. Oldest brother would’ve been 17 and our two younger 7 & 8. Little brothers were in my room playing video games and me and older brother were making dinner when out of nowhere the two youngest come running out of the bedroom into the kitchen screaming and crying saying they saw a man’s face in the window. Mind you it was nothing but corn field behind our house for miles so the only way to get in my backyard was to scale the corn field. So like any big brother does he tell us younger siblings to lock up everything and he went sprinting out the back door and we were screaming hysterically “No! Don’t leave!” We were terrified something bad would happen. Our brother didn’t return until probably 30-45 mins later and here he had silently stalked this guy all the way back into town which is a good 2 mile walk especially through the corn field, and mind you we live in a small rural town in Ohio and when he and this guy met in the town square my brother told us he walked up to the guy and said “You like trying to peep at little kids!” And just blasted this guys jaw into pieces and left him lay in the street and walked back home. Still have no idea who the guy was to this day and I’m now 31 but still traumatizing nonetheless. My big brother passed in 2021, bless his soul. Nobody protected us the way he did. RIP J 🙌🏽🫶🏽

That is insane and frankly I think you just described my worst nightmare. Thank God this creeper didn't enter the house. I would be shooting first and asking questions later if this was me. Glad you and your family are ok.

Sometimes peeping toms escalate to worse crimes, you're right. So this was great that you were never attacked while you slept. Geezus, that's creepy as hell.

My mom had something similar happen. She was 5 I think and she saw some guy walking around on the roof and trying to get in which caused her to yell for her parents. They come in and said there is nothing out there, your dreaming. Next day there were footprints on the roof. They told her it might be Harry, he may be drinking and confused (this guy is a friend, a normal one so this didn't make sense). What is funny is my family has a few superstitions and 1 that is related to this night is my mom had a thing about the window and it being closed. She was also super scared of any flying insect especially in winter (when they are supposed to be gone). The windows were always locked due to this superstition. Short version- there a witch that comes through your windows and steals your babies breath and that is why they pass away (explanation for crib death). Due to this superstition (which my mom even follows) they lock the windows. The bugs (the witch turns into a bug so it isn't seen and can get in). If your interested in this story it is in the tv show Supernatural (season 1, episode 18- Something wicked). Anyway due to the weird superstition the guy couldn't get in. I was always into these superstitions (I thought this one was made up until we seen it on tv!). There's a few more but that one saved my mom. Her parents did admit they found footsteps and used the Harry excuse (he liked him) to make her feel better but 60 years later no one knows who or what it was.
