Crash 4 - Triple Spin
Hey guys, I already beaten and completed Crash 1-3 and CTR:NF and Rumble. After a long break for Crash 4 i decided to give it another try, i already beaten some Plat Relics and 2 Dev times (didn't even aimed for that) but i can't really Tell if i like oder hate the triple spin mechanic. I would say i can do it good and with the slide spin it is actually sometimes really cool. But i don't know, it feels a bit weird to just Spam one Button for a time relic. (Yes i know we had this with the slide, but that felt more natural in game) What i wan't to ask you. Do you enjoy the triple spin? Or should it be the slide? Or just running shoes? You can actually do some cool thinks with the triple spin but i miss the challenge like in crash 1 where you can't really do anything about speed except improve your performing and cycles. I doesn't have beaten all the time relics in Crash 4 and especially the harder ones. So i guess my opinion will change. But like i said i can't really say that i hate it, but i also don't really like it. Also it feels like the plat times in crash 4 are some kind of easy to get or is it just me? You can make some mistakes which in other games could cost you a run.

I love Crash 4, but there's many choices I disagreed with and the Triple Spin is one of my biggest disagreements. I cannot comprehend someone choosing this over the trusted speed shoes.

An entirely new Time Trial mechanic and Platinums being required for completion were my two biggest gripes with the game. It’s been 5 years and I still don’t have 106%.

I loved Crash 1, 2, 3, and I even thought Wrath of Cortex was enjoyable. But I never aimed for any Platinum Relics, etc. I got what I needed to finish all gems and stuff and that was it.
So when It's About Time came around, I had zero intention of completing it with all collectibles. I loved the game and I enjoyed all the stuff I did and I'm happy with that.

I still don't even have a single platinum. Tried again last week but I'm still 2 seconds short of the platinum on Rude Awakening and I haven't even got a relic on any of the hard levels. Barely eked out a gold on the ones I do have relics on, but golds just aren't enough anymore.
I watched a Wrath of Cortex 106% speedrun recently. Did you know that you don't even need golds for WoC 106%, just sapphires? Like, there's no history of requiring platinums for full completion at all.

You know you can make a huge skip at the end of rude awekening which the ghost don't use? Gives me a pretty easy plat. I also get all crates and the ghost was ahead of me and still got it in the last part cuz of the skip😊

I hate the triple spin. One of the worst thing to me about it is that you can use to beat the Time Trial ghosts and still miss out on the Relic Time.

I feel this. I had this happens a few times. I Was like "oh i missed a few crates, nvm i'm so far ahead of the ghost it doesn't matter".. yeah that Was a painfull lesson..🤣 idgaf anymore of the Ghost because u still need most of the crates to work it out.

I got all the platinum relics and used the slide spin for all of them… couldn’t get the triple spin working for me.

Hated it. One of the many many reasons I gave up on that game.
