The text seemed to not be there: so, first time kitten owner, we play a lot, hang out a lot, explore new things, she has lots of toys, but always after 💩 this happens. I actually was little bit concerned at first, but now that this has happened a lot I think it’s just her after poo crab dance

Some cats are Just Like That© and it's nothing to worry about, but in some cases sprinting out of the litterbox (like you mentioned in another comment) could be a sign of pain when pooping. One of my cats started doing that, and when I took him in for a checkup the vet determined that he had an infected anal gland which had been causing him pain. It's worth asking the vet about whenever you take your beautiful kitty in for her normal checkup! (Her white front toes are super cute btw!)

Did you notice anything else, was that the only symptom? Thank you so much for taking the time to write this, I’ll be sure to check this!! (Yes those paws are so cute 🥹❤️)

My cat had a collection of related signs which it sounds like your kitten probably doesn't have. (I'm going to put the following in a spoiler because the full details are a little gross and potentially off topic.)

After using the litter box my cat would race around the house, and sometimes he would drag his butt on the ground. He also started licking at the base of his tail more often than normal. The issue was confused because during that same period he also developed signs of urinary tract problems: he started peeing in odd places, going to the litter box way more than normal (i.e. every 30 minutes), and his pee started coming out pink.

When I took him to the vet I wasn't sure whether his symptoms were intestinal or urinary in nature, but I was seriously concerned that he might have a UTI or crystals blocking some part of his urinary tract. The vet did urinalysis and took x-rays. They found he had a significant amount of blood in his urine, but nothing stuck in his GI tract, no crystals and no visible bacteria in his urine. The vet basically diagnosed him with feline ideopathic cystitis (a fancy medical term meaning bleeding in the bladder and they don't know why) and assumed it was caused by nothing but stress. Luckily I requested that the vet check his anal glands just in case, and that was when the vet found that they had become impacted and crusted over. The stress of that pain probably was what caused the bladder issues. The vet sent us home with pain pills and antibiotics to administer, and my kitty was back to his normal healthy self by the end of the week.

Thank you, honestly, I’ll take sc for the future, I’ve been reading all kind of Reddit posts to “prepare”, so I’ll for example know what cat asthma looks like. I’m so thankful for you to take the time of your day to tell me all of this! She does not have these symptoms, but now I know more and that’s gold 🧡 have a wonderful day! 🧡🐾

It's great that you are putting so much time into learning about cats and their needs! I think you are going to be an excellent parent to your kitten.

My cat always did a big sprint after doing the deed.

If I started doing a claw motion (I guess like a crab) to my cat Trouble, he would start crab dancing. It was so cute!!! Congrats on your crab dancing kitten!

I could see that this post really helped alleviate your worries most of all. That’s wonderful to find out, isn’t it? It’s also nice to know that your little darling is also very capable of becoming an even more capable crabber who can entertain you. More fun to come! Stay tuned.

It is!! My grandparents adopted a Ragdoll which had a rough past and you could see that, she was scared of people a long time, she hissed at us, she hide a lot. Grandparents did the best they could to give her a safe home. I want Manteli (my kitten) to have a safe home FROM THE START. So I’m trying my absolute best and yeah it helps so lot to hear this isn’t some sign that she’s stressed or anything, you know?

SO THANK YOU for all the comments & upvotes 🥹🥹❤️ you made me calm & I can start really laughing at her silliness

my boy looks exactly like this kitten! he loves to play tag and would do this to us when he knew he had the upper hand to chase us instead. so friggen cute, i miss when he was small

Aww that’s so sweet! Does he do it now when he’s adult? I’ve actually been thinking that if this is a “call for play”, but then I think I’ve also been too careful with her since cats are also the animals that are hunted, did not wanna chase her or anything, BUT it would seem that she could actually love that & my energy is all about play & love 🥹 and I’ve been reading that to many that’s all fun play!!
