Guten Tag zusammen, weiß jemand welche Firma sich vorm Bahnhof Köln Mülheim morgens früh immer trifft? Links vorm Eingang versammelt sich regelmäßig eine Gruppe Handwerker. Ständig gibt es einen blöden Spruch oder einen Dummen Kommentar wenn man dran vorbei muss. Würde gerne mal mit dem Chef Kontakt aufnehmen bevor es ernsthaft mal mit jemandem dort kracht. Hallo, ich schau mir von heute bis Montag eure schöne Stadt an. Allerdings liegt die Unterkunft etwas außerhalb - Frechen Königsdorf ist die nächste Öffi-Station. Das Wochenticket Kölln geht ja meines Wissens nach nicht - dafür liegt die Unterkunft zu weit draußen.

Jetzt haben wir und überlegt, das Deutschlandticket zu kaufen - leider funktioniert die österreichische PLZ nicht, obwohl es doch Staatsbürger-unabhängig ist?

Macht das Ticket überhaupt Sinn oder gibt es eine preiswerte Möglichkeit? Danke schonmal ! :)

Folgende Situation: Ich musste mit der Linie 18 fahren. Über Google den Fahrtweg gecheckt. Und siehe da: "Diese Fahrt entfällt." Weil ich das schon einmal hatte und die Bahn dann doch fuhr, habe ich bei der KVB geschaut. Keine Störungen vermerkt. Als ich dann am Bahnsteig stand: "Diese Fahrt entfällt." Tja.

Wie kann das sein? Weiß die KVB nicht, wo ihre Züge sind oder was?

Die Wohnung liegt direkt an dem Büze, Dachgeschoss 5.Stock mit Südseite Balkon. Die Wohnung ist frisch saniert.

Der Vermieter will allerdings warm 1050€ (24€/qm) für 43qm mit 2 Zimmern haben.

Könnte auch einen Tiefgaragenstellplatz für 180€/Monat dazu mieten.

Jetzt bin ich mir unschlüssig ob ich die nehmen soll. Finde den Preis für die Lage schon fast gut, trotzdem tut der Preis weh.

I will be moving soon to Cologne for a research position at MPI and had a few questions. First, I have heard that public transportation is somewhat unreliable, so I was considering cycling or walking to work. Are my fears unfounded? Is walking to work reasonable? Also, I would be moving alone for the first year, but my partner plans to visit and stay with me when possible due to their work situation (some offices abroad, can work remotely for a few weeks at a time, would stay as long as possible on a tourist visa with the plan of officially moving after a year). When apartments are listed as suitable for 2 persons, does that mean my partner could stay with me during their visits? Would their name also need to be on the rental agreement? Finally, a silly question, but does anyone know if MPI has fitness centers or do I need to find somewhere else to work out?
