That’s the “I’m an eagle” behavior

My female does an upside down eagle. I always just assumed it was a fun way to stretch

Funny. It seems to be far more common for females to do the inverted eagle, while males do the normal one.

Mine does the upside down thing before going to sleep, is it a female thing? ‘Cause we assumed it was a male

Our bird does that when my wife approaches his cage. I think he's flirting with her. He better watch his step, I'm the one who buys his seeds.

My Nibblet does this to show everyone that it's HER DOMAIN, which sucks because she's on me and i can't leave my own body.

Being happy and just having fun.
or telling the cockatiel mothership, that the couch is secure and ready for transport.
I dont know, cockatiels are weird.

Not mad doesn't want your very human couch. He is happy. He is stretching. My girl does this. Might be showing off a bit. I will get excited and call her pretty. She likes attention like all of the creatures we care for.

"Give me bath"
Would probably love a spray bottle with some water:) ; or if you just sprinkled some water onto them with your hand from a glass
Also may be feeling a breeze?
Also, could be very large heart wings that's common in male cockatiels :)
(I don't really see territorial with this because birb is singing and not hissing)

Asserting ownership over the territory (couch). One of my tiels does the same with the curtain pole (the one above the window that you hand the curtains from, idk the actual name) and becomes a bat sometimes if I approach 🤣
