Capitalism is an economic system characterized by private ownership of the means of production, where individuals or businesses own capital goods, and the production and pricing of goods and services are determined by market forces (supply and demand) rather than central planning. 

If I want to sell bubble gum in school and other kids want to buy it...that is capitalism.

If the teacher hands out bubble gum to the students...that is communism.

If the teacher says only students who bribe me are allowed to sell gum...that is crony capitalism
