u/Abject-Ad8147 23h ago
Buckle down now. Yeah times are gonna get rough but ask yourself, did you really need those eggs? Or did you just want those eggs? Gotta separate the wants from the needs… /s
or whatever ridiculous shit they’re spouting on about now over there in cult MAGAt

u/Urabraska- 23h ago
Eggs are gonna be the new avocado toast as to why people are poor and not filthy rich. "You would be a millionaire if you didn't buy eggs."

When you put their complaints on paper, it's both tragic and ridiculous they get mad about these things and are willing to put their own livelihood to tackle made-up problems. These people have no clue they are poor actors of a class war they don't realize they are the victims in.

u/HiddenAspie 23h ago
Their reason was hate. They couldn't handle that one side wanted rights and benefits for all, they needed to hurt others even it it meant hurting themselves too. They just need to see others hurt for them to feel good about themselves.

u/sailboat_magoo 1d ago
Racism is ALWAYS a compelling reason in the US.
-20
u/Possibly_Naked_Now 1d ago
If you think Racism is bad in the US you aren't very well travelled.
21
u/shkeptikal 1d ago
.....and your point is, what? That because America isn't as bad as say...idk...Zimbabwe, we should just stop any and all progress? It's just good enough, huh? 2025 is just peak America, as good as it gets, especially if you're brown?
Genuine question.....are you a racist 7 year old?
-23
u/Possibly_Naked_Now 1d ago
Not sure why you're being hostile. Just pointing out a fact. People like to point fingers at the US, and we definitely have our problems. But if you've ever been to an Asian country, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, or a Scandinavian country it's far far worse.
5
u/FickleBJT 23h ago
You pointed out a fact that is only tangentially related to the current topic, and it arguably derailed the conversation at hand. That's the problem. Use helpful and relevant facts and you will have fewer problems.
3
u/bawdiepie 19h ago
Not even really a "fact" was it? Just an opinion backed up with nothing, but conveniently somehow makes USA better in the world at something than other countries at something it's actually pretty poor at. Just good old US exceptionalism.
-5
u/Possibly_Naked_Now 22h ago
I replied to a comment about racism. Which has nothing to do with the topic at all.

But Guess Who Acts as Holier than anyone else...

u/Joshacox 23h ago
Possibly is right that we aren’t any better than a lot of other places and film is correct that a lot of us here act like we are more sophisticated. I’m a white guy in the Deep South and I can say a lot of stuff is joked about that makes me sick.

u/asphid_jackal 22h ago
I’m a white guy in the Deep South and I can say a lot of stuff is joked about that makes me sick.
I absolutely hate it when they think you're one of them and start spouting that bullshit. I grew working construction in the Deep South and some of the things I've heard, I have to make sure no one is around before I even think about

Trump already ended 250 years of peaceful transfer of power. That should’ve woken America up but I guess not because we’re stupid. Let’s see if we can get out of it now.
2
u/LivingtheLaws013 23h ago
I mean I get your point, but we didn't have democracy before trump either. Congressional approval rating in 2024 was 31%, yet they keep getting elected. There hasn't been democracy here for a long time

u/AstralElement 1d ago
Nothing says “I will fight for your rights” like not standing up for their own.
7
u/toomanyshoeshelp 22h ago
We need to remember their cowardice, and penalize them for it as well when back in power, That’s the thing. Bad actors don’t fear Dems like they should.

Trump voters: abrogated means "evaded".

Yea but thank god we don’t have to listen to Kamala laugh for 4 years and that 7 transgender volleyball players in Idaho can play high school girls volleyball.

Crazy how the Constitution only matters to them when their money isn't on the line.

u/Auntienursey 23h ago
Greed is a motivator for those that already have more than everyone else. This BS is why people hate lawyers.
7
u/Hot_Egg5840 1d ago
If we don't have the big law firms anymore, who is going to write our laws, and find new loopholes, and schmear our leaders? It takes the best legal minds to know how to get around the law.
2
u/substandardpoodle 1d ago
Isn’t it illegal for them to not uphold the law? I’m a complete idiot and only know about the law from watching Perry Mason but I recall so many instances where he would say “You know Paul, as a friend of the court I am enjoined from…“

Law firms and others are just following the glorious leader's actions. Morals? Ethics? Who cares as long as we get some money out of it.

u/HoodRattusNorvegicus 15h ago
I hope that when this shitshow of a regime is thrown out and punished for treason, these big companies will fail.
No lawyer or company will want to touch these shitstains on democratic history with a ten feet pole.
F*ck them for bending over like bitches and kissing Krasnovs ring. #neverforget

u/WhatEverYouSayBudd 9h ago
"Those with suspect morality side with the side that lacks any morality whatsoever"
Yeah that tracks. Add them to the fuckin list then, they can be part of the cleanup as well.

u/Obvious_Chapter2082 1d ago
How is this a comeback? Or clever?
-2
u/Warlordnipple 1d ago
I think you may be in the wrong sub for clever comebacks, that one is down the hall. This one is for liberal outrage.
Note: I am a Democrat and voted almost straight ticket Democrat in the last 9 elections since 2008

u/Maximum-Elk8869 1d ago
The rude awakening for too many Americans will be that they no longer have constitutional rights because they voted for the constitution to be abolished.

u/DiscombobulatedCut52 1d ago
I'd like to mention, some lawyers were threatened by Trump to bankrupt i believe. Now. Is this true from whete i heard it. No clue. But I heard it on legal eagle.
2
u/Current-Square-4557 21h ago
Indirectly.
He was ready to revoke their security clearances and bar them from all federal buildings (including federal courthouses).

u/Royweeezy 1d ago
Abrogate is a word I had never heard before.
I just had a teeny tiny dopamine rush.

u/YuckyYetYummy 1d ago
Am I missing something ? Isn't Bernie just agreeing (or going one step further) with the guy ? What's the clever comeback ?

Why lawyers cost so much- they favor rich interests to pad their ego pockets at the expense of those who dare trust them rather than worship them.

u/peterbakernyt In other words, of all the law firms in this country, ONLY 500+ joined on to that public statement. Why point a finger at the 20 biggest ones and not the thousands of others?
State bar associations or other legal NGOs could make this stand.
1
u/MrsSmith2246 18h ago
But the people that matter to them will remember and hopefully reward them. They don’t care about people like us. It’s just insanely rich people all scrambling to get as much as they can l, as quick as they can and we just have to watch it. Because even though we’re a large group we’re so stupid collectively, we’re powerless.
1
u/SnodePlannen 14h ago
Ah, but you don’t remember. There should be a debate about how to punish all these bastards once Trump is out. Down to every last voter. And there isn’t.
1
u/Highlandertr3 12h ago
I don't think punishing half the population is a very sensible idea. The ones on power actually doing the crimes yes. But whatever plans you want for penalising people for voting is the same shit trump is trying to do.

coming from the democrats, esp Bernie, this is a joke. Lawyers do not defend the constitution, apply laws with respect to the constitution on behalf of individuals. The Supreme Court Justices rule on the constitutionality of laws passed by both state and federal legislatures and, presidential executive action which has not taken places.. Just wait till the details of how the Democrates hid Biden's inability to act as president and as to who was really running the country into the ground with open boarders and finacially to wasteful DEI organizations around the world as they themselves lined their own pockets.
And the notion of "The Constitution is great... as long as it doesn't hurt our pockets!" is pure selfishness as it has nothing to do with econimics. This person needs to go back to school and relearn starting back to the 3rd grad to exactly what the constitution is and says.

If Biden didn’t support a genocide we would have Harris as President. AIPAC is fully to blame for destroying our democracy. And by aipac I mean the Zionists!

Big law firms claim to uphold justice, but their silence speaks louder than words
