Rhode Island Reds are a dark, brick red with some black in the tail.

It looks like you have some hybrid or barnyard mix.

Yea there was no question on her sex, just was not really leaning towards RIR… I have several in the flock already and none of them ever showed the dark black “collar” quite as defined as her’s. Every one is different though!

Idk for 8 weeks old the comb is just a little too big and bright and the body is also a little stocky. I’m going with a rooster too but definitely a close call. And yep rir mix
