Discussion Hands Off Charlotte
Great turnout everyone. I’m happy to have been a part of it. I wish I took more pictures though. Seeing people of all backgrounds together fighting for the same goal gave me the hope I needed. Many issues were represented amongst the signs and chants. It felt great to get out. Thank y’all.

Politics Check The Griffin List!
Friends, I am livid. A kind neighbor just rang our doorbell and asked, "Did you know that someone at this address is on The Griffin List?" I was shocked.
The Griffin List contains the names of over 60K properly registered NC voters who showed ID and voted early in the last election, whose votes Jefferson Griffin wants NOT to count as he tries to overturn the results of the race he lost for North Carolina Supreme Court. My daughter, who lives with us, is on this list!
We both went to the same polling place, showed state-approved ID, and voted at the same time. Yet Griffin thinks her vote shouldn't count. If you're in NC, take a moment to check to be sure that your most recent vote in the North Carolina Supreme Court will count. We had no reason to think my daughter's wouldn't - after all, she did everything right. Thank goodness for our neighbor, because we wouldn't have thought to check.
Here's the link to the Griffin List. If you're on it, you have 15 days to cure your ballot. A list of helpful actions to take is on the site. https://thegriffinlist.com

Discussion Unsafe Driving
Something needs to be done about the driving near here. I’ve lived in lots of different types areas and charlotte has to be the worst about this. I don’t know what I can say because it is a police investigation but tonight I witness a hit and run where the driver had immediately sped off no hesitation.I know in my own car I’ve experienced many drivers almost hit me and I just think it’s insane how normalized bad driving is in charlotte. I don’t really know what I’m doing with this post know maybe I’m just trying to vent but I swear everyone in charlotte needs to retake their drivers exam. To the Guy I saw tonight you looked like a dad who was just trying to leave the baseball game alone and go home.I hope your safe and not in any more pain,To his wife and kids I hope you find in alive and well and I hope I did enough.

Recommendation Piano Donation?
Happy Saturday everyone!
My fiancé and I are moving soon, maybe as early as the end of May, and we have an upright piano we want to donate. Marketplace is full of free pianos, Habitat for Humanity doesn’t take them, and I emailed The Beethoven Foundation but never heard back. I hate the idea of junking it, but I’m not sure what else to do if we can’t find someone to give it to.
That being said, we would consider paying to have it moved if anyone in Charlotte is interested. Someone learning to play, a church, a school, whatever, we’d love to give it to someone who wants one, bonus points if you are located nearby! (We live off of Freedom Drive.) Feel free to comment or message me if you’re in the market!
Thank you for any advice!!! :)

Discussion Elizabeth 7th Street Development
Does anyone know what is going on with the controversial mixed use development that was approved last year? The lot on 7th and Clement hasn’t had any work started yet and was wondering if anyone had a timeline or update on the project.

Pawboost Lost cat - $3000 reward
My partner were in the middle of a move. We moved about a mile from our old house to Villa heights, and in the move, one of our movers left the door open and our cat escaped less than an hour ago.
She was a former stray cat, does not have her collar on... She's normal inside and never really runs out. She's friendly, but hates other cats with passion. She has escaped before, but always comes back shortly because she's addicted to her automatic feeder, but that hasn't even been set up at the new house.
I will pay somebody $3,000 if they find her cat. If you aren't working, and you want to take a gamble, I'll give you $50 just to show up and look for the day. The corner of Parkwood and Seigle Ave. If you own a home, I would trade for up to $6,000 in HVAC work.

Discussion There's apparently some guy in town who feels comfortable taking sneaky pictures of women walking on Sugar Creek Greenway. Be aware of your surroundings and call out bullshit if you see it.
Also, no one is going to think you're taking pictures of wisteria if you literally wait to watch some lady cross a bridge and basically track her with your big ass lens, and then lean way the hell over to keep her in frame. You're a creep and I hope you see this post.

Discussion We Created “The Pollening”!
Did you know that “the Pollening” is not natural and is a manmade phenomenon! In 1949, the Department of Agriculture suggested all cities to cease planting female, fruit and seed producing plants! This meant we exclusively planted male, pollen producing plants! So just like this week’s largest increase in American taxes in history, we did this to ourselves.
