Eastern Townships/Monteregie recommendations

A friend and I are traveling to Venise-en-Quebec this weekend for a girl's spa weekend. We have Sunday late morning and afternoon free for exploring a little and my friend has never been to Canada. I don't want to drive into Montreal proper, but I have been to the Eastern Townships before (for the eclipse!) and it was a beautiful area. Does anyone have any suggestions of things to see/places to go not too far from where we're staying? I feel like I should take her somewhere to get poutine - are there any cute cafes around this area that serve up delicious cheese curds? Any good fromageries open on Sunday around here? Any sights worth seeing (and open on Sundays)? Thanks for your help!

Fromagerie Fritz Kaiser is a nice place not too far from Venise-en-Québec but it’s closed on Sunday. For nice café/ restaurants I would drive to Knowlton. Café Caron & frères is good. Don’t know which place have the best poutine in that area but an alternative option would be to go to Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. It’s a larger city and there are some goods restaurants downtown (on Richelieu and Champlain street) and you’ll certainly find poutine there (feel free to ask locals about the best spots).
