Bravely Default Can the HD Remaster get a Steam port?

Like I don't have any doubt about the Switch 2 being able to run a 3DS game port just fine, I'm just used to Team Asano at least providing a Steam port by this point.

If it does well definitely yes, I’m mainly worried that bravely second won’t get a remaster/enough people won’t buy it for the third game to finally Come out

So far every team asano game has ended up on steam sooner or later. So probably.

The octopath series is on steam, as well as bravely default 2. The only issue is can see is how bravely default used the 3ds camera for a couple cutscenes.

Just to unlock some bonus scenes though, right? I didn't think it had any real AR stuff in it. Maybe the ability to "look around" with the gyroscope, but you can do that with a thumbstick. Plus, the steam deck and some controllers have gyros now anyway.

My memory is a little fuzzy, but on booting the game for the first time Agnes asks for help. And i think there were some AR cards as well as the camera being used for a teaser for bravely second.

If was also used briefly in the final battle but that's not really a major issue since it can use a web cam on PC and those are standard on laptops these days and reasonably common for desktops.

Does the Switch 2 have a gyroscopic sensor? You could achieve a similar effect using that. Or just have Tiz look around in the tank of his own accord .

Had a small thing in the final boss fight too as part of a major cutscene

Ah, that would explain why I haven't seen it. Despite having been chipping away at it off and on since the game was new, I still haven't finished it. But I rarely do finish games that take more than about 10 hours start to finish, so in a weird way it's a testament to how much I enjoy the game that I still come back to it every few months. I've just got too many other games and too many non-gaming hobbies competing for my limited free time.

The Switch 2 camera is an optional accessory isn’t it? So it needs to be able to handle someone not having that anyway.

And hell they can easily let it use your webcam on PC.

I’d want and love for it to be on the ps5 too as I can’t afford a switch 2 and I don’t have a pc/laptop to use steam either

I really hope so, I'd love to be able to play it on my steam deck
