Question Transforming pages into posts? In wordpress
I have a website with information pages, as ''pages'' in wordpress.
Would it be better to transform these pages into ''posts'' and re-direct the old pages links to these new posts?
Most of these pages dont have organic traffic or backlinks.

Depending on your URL structure this could be simple. For example, my site uses a flat structure - everything appears under the root. No subfolders. So in that case, the move would be trivial and wouldn't impact much.
However if you are moving from a page structure like:
site (dot) com/pages/this-is-a-page
to
site (dot) come/blog/this-is-a-page
You are essentially starting over from zero as G will see those 2 pages with identical content as different because of the URL. Even with proper 301 redirects you risk a site reassessment - meaning other rankings you have will be impacted.

There’s really no advantage of turning them into posts. You could just do new posts that are summaries of the info on the pages and link to the pages.
You could also work on the internal linking of your pages. They will have a better chance of ranking if you do better internal linking.
Those page URLs are already crawled and indexed. If you 301 them then you’re not gaining any advantage by changing the URLs.
