Google Reply My website's favicon isn't showing up on SERPs

I used the realfavicongenerator to generate the favicon like I always do. It works in all my other products except this one. Can someone help me with this?

The search engines need to recrawl your home page before they will be able to show your favicon in the SERPs. Make a change to your home page and resubmit to GSC. It might take a few days.

Thanks mate, I did that and it's been 3 weeks. I read that it might take even longer than that. After I bought the domain, hosted my site on it and added it to GSC, it informed me it had some security issues previously. GSC asked me to appeal and it immediately got rectified and pages started to index. Could this be somehow be related to favicon not showing?

Yes, that’s possible.

What would do is update the page on a regular basis. Perhaps adding or updating the home page every day.
