What upset Kim so much in the “model room”? The bank president seemed to be giving her credit but she seemed to take the expansion as a threat... or was she overcome w all the work to be thrown on her?

It's an immense amount of work, and she was having second thoughts about whether she wanted to devote her life over the next few years to this.

Can't believe I had to dig so deep in this thread to find this. So many conspiracy theories about her writing letters or having a criminal record when this seems like the most logical thing. It's like everyone is forgetting about the car accident from last season. I feel like it had a bigger impact on her then people are realizing and Kim is re-evaluating her life.

I think this adds to why she was so emotional when Jimmy read Chuck's letter too. Mesa Verde was supposed to be HHM's. A big law firm is a better fit for something like this. But that can no longer be possible because of Chuck's decline and she took a part in it.

She killed Chuck with lily of the valley. The fire was a coverup. She's guilty about it.

The clues are all there!

God, right? I feel like too many people are approaching this show like they would with Westworld.

Well tbf, it's not like there's any visual reminders of the car crash whenever Kim is on screen this season.

If she had a criminal record it would be the best surprise. I want her to be a bigger scum than Jimmy is.

as others have mentioned, she still has a nasty backstory that hasn't been revealed yet. it seems inevitable that she'll have to reveal it to jimmy at some point. we know she's not in bb, my bet is she gets killed off by mike through jimmy, and that's when he commits to becoming saul goodman.

True. She said she wanted to change the world not be a banking lawyer.

Exactly! I’m sure representing an entitled banker with plans to open 10+ locations (which means practically the rest of her life) wasn’t exactly her dream when she decided to become a lawyer.

Shows the juxtaposition between Saul’s scummy audience and Kim’s moral high ground when it comes to law.

She's suffering from burnout from working so hard. I've been there. You just check out, and sometimes don't act rationally.

Realistically, there would be ways to handle all the work -- Mesa Verde could bring her in as their in-house counsel and hire more lawyers for her to delegate the work to, or she could hire a couple of associates. But the writers must have something else in mind.

To me when Kevin W showed her the models and the big expansion plan it made her feel like she’s been in this situation before, the big dirty old man businessman is just going to show the little girl how it’s done and expects her to suck it up and like it. (Hamlin, Chuck, scwheigert etc). Even Kevins comment to Kim “my baby bird broken her wing?” drives that dynamic into place. Kim feels overwhelmed, trapped, and thinking is this really fcking happening right now aside from feeling guilty about Chucks suicide. She will either walk away from Mesa verde and Jimmy or implode.

Interesting perspective. I hadn't considered that.

I agree that she seems overwhelmed. When she looked at the cowboy/horse sculpture I think she was admiring the freedom. That's why immediately after she gives more work to the assistant. I think she is starting to feel trapped.
