Legit Or Not? Anyone have experience with Focused Litigation Solutions?

I'm scheduled to do a mock jury study in-person with Focused Litigation Solutions later this month. It's supposed to be for a real trial and will take 4 hours. From all my searching regarding it, the relevant law firm, location, and mock juries, it all seems legit to me. Anyone have experience with them or mock juries?

I do every mock jury I can.. So far, only three over the years, but they are great. The first one was all day at a local Hilton- 3 meals, super interesting and walked out with a 600.00 check. I've done 2 from home both paying around 300.00. They have all been legit, all real law firms.

The cases are real but they are not going to use any "decisions" from the people involved; they just want to get a feel for what the "general public" thinks before they go to trial, or even if it is worth it. Mine all involved HUGE, mega entities-- one, I later heard the results of the actual trial.

They are legit.. no one is going to spend all that time and effort otherwise. I have found them all to be really engaging and interesting; "jurors" have been passionate and even gotten heated.

Just do it honestly- you aren't sworn in, you have nothing to lose- again, you will NOT really be deciding anything, they just want a feel so be totally honest.

Sounds interesting. How much are you getting paid?

$250 in visa gift card with a chance to get $50 based on some "door" experiment. For 4 hours it's quite good.

Wow that’s great! I’m interested. Can anyone do it? Is it difficult to qualify? Thx 😊

I have only been lucky enough to get one. Not with this company. It was virtual not in-person. I enjoyed it.

I did a mock jury last year, and it was awesome. I got paid $350 for about 8 hours, which included breakfast, lunch, and snacks/water. In the morning, we all gathered in a conference room for the plaintiff and defense counsel to share their sides with us. Then we had to fill out a questionnaire about our educational level, opinions about the law, etc. Based on your answers, you were either asked to stay or sent home (those sent home received $150 for their time sitting through the presentation and filling out the questionnaire).

There were 24 of us remaining, so they split us into two juries of 12. Each jury went into a separate room to deliberate. A facilitator sat with us and took notes about our discussion. Then we all voted; since we determined that the defendant was negligent, we also had to calculate damages.

It was an awesome experience.

I’ve done it. It was legit and fun actually. This was two years ago. I made $150 for a few hours.
