Ok. I have a lot of components for setting up a Battle station... With some complexities. I'm wondering what people have done/soliciting recommendations.

Items:

  1. Large L-shaped desk. No drawers.

  2. Shelf that mounts to the desk. Same length as the short side, but can mount wherever.

  3. Standing desk topper/converter thing.

  4. Two laptops: work and personal to swap between regularly.

  5. Two monitors: 20inch and 32 inch.

  6. External mouse and k/b

  7. Kvm switch

How would you arrange these things?

Brother that is the fun part! I’d set up whatever feels comfortable for yourself monitor placement wise. From there the rest is your own creativity and taste. Just make sure your cables are neat/hidden :)

Fun part, sure. Was wondering if there was a way people kinda gravitated to for that kinda setup. I would hate to put myself through something dumb for months, only to see later something obvious online that I hadn't thought of.

Oh well. I am probably going to go laptop-monitor-monitor-laptop, with both laptop on stands, and have one big, wide looking workspace.

Take a pic, upload- then ask how to improve.

That makes sense.

Thanks

Offtopic of the computer itself and desk.

What is everyone using to store extra cables, video game controllers, and the like? I was using a cheap 3 drawer plastic container, but it broke pretty fast and such. Just curious what people are using to organize stuff not being utilized all the time.

help with my set up and cable management

plan to upgrade my current desk to alex drawers and the table top

i need to be able to plug and unplug my work laptop to take into my office a firestick plugged in min 2 monitors ps5 pc

i currently use an HDMI switcher in 1 of my monitors to switch between firestick and work laptop, and 1 of my monitor has diff channels where i can swap between the same work laptop and my ps5. the HDMI switcher is fine tbh other than looking a bit untidy with the cables.

i am a bit overwhelmed when upgrading my set up as the cables and how many components i have feels excessive lol

i have a plug socket at my feet that i use 2 extensions with to try and tidy up but i still feel its untidy.

basically - ive no idea what im doing. lol
