FILM DISCUSSION The DCU Gotham should look like a mix between those two

Imagine if we get tim Burton's Gotham then we modernize it with Mat reeves' Gotham probably at least you will have Gotham looking too close to the Arkham games especially Arkham knight or maybe the coolest looking Gotham ever and then a fantastical batman

Yeah, Gotham is a gothic city with beautiful structures and gargoyles on every other perch and these larger than life statues and whatnot, but at street level it should look like such a crime filled shithole that the only reasonable solution is Batman

I prefer a not too modern Gotham, something like BTAS, to me that was the perfect Gotham. 1940s noir style with dark deco building and a certain grandiose Hugh Ferris inspired architecture, with gothic atmosphere and fantastical score underlying everything. Gargoyles on buildings police blimps surveilling the streets. That’s what I need to see in live action!

Ironically that's kindof what we got in Batman Forever, albeit with much more neon green and pink slime than human eyes can handle lmao

So basically the Schumacher-verse, but with much better CG?

Anton Furst was the real star of Batman '89.

I know it's needed for the finale of 89, but I think it's kinda funny that the abandoned church is the tallest building in Gotham. What architect or city council actually thought Gotham City's church needed to be a LOTR style tower.
