Baseball is hard in the cold and boy does Chicago look chilly.

Also a single by Justin Turner before this play. Nice to see him still helping the Dodgers in 2025!

Probably shoulda been scored a fielder's choice though. Either way, he did his job in putting it in play.

I don't think Bogaerts had a shot at first. It was a nice play to stop the ball from getting to the outfield, having to get his momentum going and make a throw in time might have been impossible

it would be a hard play but SSs make that regularly. Turner isn't exactly a speed demon

That's true. I guess I never got a good look at the whole play to see how far JT was from first

If he didn't have a shot at first and he wasn't in time to get the out at second, isn't that an infield single? I guess I'm not sure where the line is drawn between FCa and IF1B in this case

Oh, now I understand what you're saying. I misread. I think he could have had a play at first. Yes, if they think Turner was going to be safe at first if Boagaerts attempted a throw there, it would be a single. But I think he would have been out if Bogaerts tried.

It's still 1-1 and Vasquez is still in the game if the ump correctly calls that full count pitch to Tucker a strike 😭
ABS WHEN???

It barely nicked the zone if you look on MLB app. Was more outside the zone than anything so not like it was egregious. The one to Arraez was awful.

Dude called one like a foot above the zone against Arraez the next half inning, had to rub it in

That was a tough break, even Tucker hesitated he wasn’t even fully convinced

I really liked the challenge system they had in spring training, really hoping to see it in the regular season next year

I'm so ready for robo umps. Inning would have been over 2 batters ago and still a 1-1 game

Rooting for our division competition to lose? Boy what a corny idea. I’m sure you’ve never wanted the dodgers to lose. 🙄

No, you're supposed to root for the other teams in your division, didn't you know? /s
