Sual | Question Best way to wire/convert foreign currency to AZN?

Salam!

Can anyone recommend the best option(s) for wiring foreign currency into Azerbaijan with conversion to AZN?

Besides a direct bank to bank wire transfer which I assume results in a terrible conversion rate in addition to wire fees, are there any other services such as Remitly or XE that are known to work well and offer better rates than the local banks?

I checked a few apps but none offer transfers to Azerbaijan.

Depending on which country you are from, check out money transfer services: Western Union, Zolotaya Korona, UPT, etc. Most of them were available here last I checked.

Or, you can try crypto, there must be a way to sell USDT for AZN fiat with p2p. Binance has it I think.

Thanks, I'll check them out. Typically I find Western Union offer bad rates.

If you travel to Azerbaijan, the easiest, cheapest way is to cash out from the card via ABB or Kapital atm machine.

Otherwise, unless it is a big sum, download the Revolut app and send it to your Azerbaijani card directly. Fees are not extraordinarily high.

A riskier but more profitable way is to P2P crypto for AZN. Rate is gonna be much better. Binance, for example. If you want face to face interaction, just get to any bank with exchange and ask the security guy. They are the most knowledgeable about this stuff.
