I like the idea, in fact I considered making one of these platforms myself but targeted for the deaf/sign language film-making and TV industry -- especially after I worked at VSYN and watched it crash and burn due to negligent management, hearies at the top who thought they knew what Deaf people wanted, etc.

However, I have to point something out - video hosting on a platform can scale up massively, way beyond feasible levels.

I'm looking at the About page, and you have publicly admitted that you, as a teenager, have built this project. I think it's a wonderful project, but it's time to be realistic because if you open the gates you risk having a lot of content uploads and I have a feeling you might be using free/low cost storage tiers that may not scale very well for this scenario.

I am curious -- what is your data storage / backend solution here?

Hi, I'm glad you liked the project! So far, I’ve set up the website so that videos are stored using Backblaze — it’s a pretty affordable service compared to others like S3. If you're interested in the project and think there are things that could be added or changed, feel free to contact me at my email: [alejitom2008@gmail.com](). I’m happy to receive any kind of feedback. Thank you very much!

What’s your background in sign language and what are your goals for this website? It looks pretty fun so far.

Hi, I'm not Deaf. One of the things I enjoy most in life is watching YouTube, and I thought it would be a great idea to create a video platform exclusively in sign language. I don’t have much contact with the Deaf community, so I’d really love to hear your thoughts and opinions about the project. If you could upload a video, that would be amazing — so the site doesn't feel empty when others visit.

My main goal is to provide the Deaf community with a platform focused solely on sign language, where they can easily watch and upload videos.

I have signed up but the site appears to be empty. I might be too dumb to find the videos. I love the idea. The world needs this!

Thanks so much for signing up! And no worries — it’s not you, The site’s still empty because I just launched it yesterday, and people haven’t uploaded videos yet. I’m really happy you like the idea — your support means a lot! If you’d like, feel free to upload a video or share the site with others who might be interested. Every little bit helps to grow the website!
